call4papersThe ICA Commission on Planetary Cartography‘s annual meeting will be held in Budapest, on 3 September 2014, one day prior to the 9th ICA Workshop Digital Approaches to Cartographic Heritage.

The meeting will be accompanied with a one-session workshop on the topic Planetary Cartography for Children.

Activities by the Commission on Digital Technologies in Cartographic Heritage

Invitation to the 9th International Workshop on Digital Approaches to Cartographic Heritage
The commission is pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the 9th International Workshop on Digital Approaches to Cartographic Heritage. This event will be held in Budapest on 4‑5 September 2014. It is organized by the ICA Commission on Digital Technologies to Cartographic Heritage and the Department of Cartography and Geoinformatics at Eotvos Lorand University.

Paper abstracts should be submitted via e-mail by 1 May 2014. Full papers, not exceeding 5.000 words, should be e-mailed by 1 June 2014.

Evangelos Livieratos is new Greek minister

Evangelos Livieratos

ICA commission chair Evangelos Livieratos has been appointed Greek Minister of Environment, Energy and Climate Change in the new Greek government!

He has been a Professor of Higher Geodesy and Cartography at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with several published articles on cartography in international journals.
