The
radioactive contamination represents the most dangerous aspect of technogenic
environmental contamination. First, it
calls sharp excess of natural concentration of the radioactive corpuscles in
natural components (water, air and soil). Secondly,
harmful agency of superfluous bombarding radiation on an
person organism which till now is not studied by a science in full measure
complicates forecasting perspective affecting of a radioactive contamination
for population health. Therefore, in
conditions of everywhere observed decline of nation health, one of the
important duties of the nature protection organizations and bodies of public
health services is observation and the analysis of the radiation situation
formed in concrete territory. A
cartographical method for research of these problems solution finds
increasingly more application. It allows
presenting available information in the evident and compact aspect which is
facilitating and speeding up an estimation process of current situation. Thus,
mapping of territory radiation risk will help both the design research
organizations and establishments of public health services to solve following
problems:
- The analysis of modern radiation situation in the given territory and forecasting of its further evolution;
- Revealing of interconnection between a level of population oncological disease rate and a local radiation background from ionizing radiation technogenic sources;
Now
the medical-ecological mapping laboratory (SGGA) conducts works on mapping
radiation risk for the population of
