PRIVATIZATION PERSPECTIVES of GEODESY and CARTOGRAPHY ENTERPRISES of the RUSSIAN FEDERATION

The size of public sector of the Russian Federation economy now still considerably exceeds that volume of property which is really necessary for fulfilment of the state functions. Privatization of redundant property is the basic direction of the economy public sector optimization.

Besides, subordinated to the Roskartographya federal enterprises not always appear in favourable or even equal conditions in comparison with private businessmen. So, opportunities of state enterprises in questions of the production nomenclature formation, price policy, production assets updating, payments and stimulations of workers labour and others are essentially limited, they lose in flexibility and efficiency of reaction to change of conditions, frequently do not maintain competition for the consumer.

Thus, for today the strict necessity has ripened to reform the cartographic – geodetical branch of economy.

At the same time, risks of losing control over the branch at the privatization process should be minimized or completely excluded. As a result of privatization the branch should develop on accelerated temp, and its enterprises should work more effectively and with bigger output.
