GIS/Cartography workshops have been successfully organised and conducted in Iran (2009), Indonesia (2010) and Viet Nam (2010), by the CET, on behalf of the International Cartographic Association. It may be that such a workshop would benefit GIS officers, cartographers and students in your country. I would like to know if you are interested in co-organising a workshop in your country in 2012 (or 2013) at a mutually acceptable time.
The workshops can be held in up to three, one week, parts. Each part is presented by two people, ideally in a computer laboratory, allowing for hands-on practical exercises to be undertaken by all participants.
