CHOSEN CONTEMPORARY ATLASES OF POLAND AND THEIR USEFULNESS FOR AGRICULTURAL LAND VALUATION

Three contemporary atlases have been analysed in the paper:

The author presents general substantial scope and cartographic features of atlases – thematic maps, scales, graphic techniques applied etc.

The analyses comprise elements important from the viewpoint of agricultural land valuation concerning climatic conditions (climatic threat to agriculture, risk of yields etc.) and water conditions of soils (yield risk caused by excessive or insufficient soil moisture etc.).

The assessment of information from the viewpoint of agricultural land valuation and the influence of climatic-soil conditions on the land value in Poland has also been done.

In conclusion the author outlines proposals concerning environmental risk maps maps elaboration for real estate valuation.
