The Barbara Petchenik Competition is a biennial map drawing competition for children. The competition is first organized on a national level. The national winners can then compete in the international round, which takes place during the International Cartographic Conferences. This year at ICC2019, 188 drawings from 33 countries were exhibited. An international jury selected 12 winners in 4 categories. There was also a public vote, a creativity award and a special mention.
