Abstract
The tourism planning needs of a specific recognition of its elements and constant monitoring for proper management of the Tourism System. To monitor system operation and its spatial implications this study aimed to relate the methodology of tourism inventory with the structure of the database of a geographic information system - SISPLAMTE Tourism Management and structure it spatially. The proposed path left of the structural analysis of tourism referring to the bibliography that allows us to understand the relationship of the Tourism System with the Geographical Space is setting up tourist areas or modifying landscapes or (re) organizing the space (Tourism and Geography). The categorization of the Tourist information system was adequate to consistently Sisplamte database. The tour of the city of Paraty diagnosis - State of Rio de Janeiro contributed to identify the feasibility and need for construction of SISPLAMTE, limited in this study for lack of resources. For the local tourism planning, we identified in this methodology of Tourist offer two fundamental shortcomings. The need for spatial information and the ability to upgrade. Both can be addressed with the use of a Geographic Information System. The complete mapping of the Tourism System allows consistent climb and the whole vision for the system planning and survival are properly monitored spatially.
